Census Data

The first results of the 2011 Census dealing with the Welsh language were published on 11 December 2012.
Of all people aged 3 and over:
  • 562,000 (19.0%) said they were able to speak Welsh.
  • This compares with 582,400 (20.8%) in 2001.
