Challenge and appeal the standards

After an organisation has received a compliance notice, it may challenge the requirement to comply with a standard if it does not agree that it is a reasonable and proportionate requirement.

It may do so either before or after the imposition day for the standard in questions has become operations. Further information about the process can be found in the Challenge and Appeals Procedure .

Following this, if an organisation does not agree with the Commissioner, it may appeal to the Welsh Language Tribunal  to determine the matter. Read more about the tribunial here.
