Deputy Commissioner

In accordance with Sections 12 and 13 of the Welsh Language (Wales) Measure 2011, the Welsh Language Commissioner is required to appoint a Deputy Commissioner. The Deputy Commissioner will deputize for the Commissioner during periods of leave, illness and at any other occasion upon the Commissioner’s request.
Following an internal process, Gwenith Price was appointed Deputy Commissioner in November 2012. Gwenith Price is Director of Compliance and Enforcement   for the Welsh Language Commissioner.
